This project includes the design, layout and construction of new playground equipment at North Park in the City of Elyria. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and supervision of labors necessary to complete the work. This project includes the design, layout and construction of new playground equipment at North Park in the City of Elyria, Ohio Questions will be received in writing to Kathryn McKillips, P.E. at kmckillips@cityofelyria.org SCOPE OF WORK A. OBJECTIVES Generally, the scope of work will include, but is not limited to, the following: Design, supply and install play equipment at North Park in one (1) location. This is a replacement installation for ages 5-12. Playground Equipment Requirements A. Minimum of 10 play elements. Preference will be given to designs that include the 3 elements in Exhibit A. B. Contractor shall provide design plan for the area. All design plans/drawings shall be in color. C. Contractor shall supply with proposal a complete description of the length and type of parts the warranty covers on all pieces of equipment D. Initial inspection of equipment shall be made within the week of installation. E. Replacement Parts Books and Instillation Instructions shall be supplied for all proposed playground components. F. The playground system will be a multi-colored system. Specific color combinations to be determined. G. The playground area should be designed for children ages 5-12 H. 2 Bay swing I. 5" poles to be used Existing playground area may be expanded, if needed, to include all elements K. Contractor to include mulch L. ADA accessible element Contractors shall meet manufacturer's specifications and industry standards for installation. Systems shall meet National Playground standards as referenced in the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) document F1487-95; Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Playground Equipment for Public Safety. Evidence of compliance shall be submitted and stamped on equipment as required
