Site work for a water / sewer project in Minot, North Dakota. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The City of Minot is accepting proposals from qualified firms for general water system modeling, design and construction observation and management of various elements of the City water distribution, storage and trunk water system. The City of Minot is a municipal organization that owns operates and maintains a water treatment facility, water storage infrastructure and water transmission and distribution infrastructure. The City Water system interconnects and provides treated water for residents of Minot as well as Rural water systems adjacent to Minot and surrounding communities through the NAWS (Northwest Area Water Supply) system. The City occasionally requests cost share participation from the North Dakota Department of Water Resources formerly State Water Commission on water related projects and is a partner with the ND Departments of Water Resources on the NAWS regional water supply project. In accordance with the SWC's cost share policy, the City is conducting an engineering services selection process for the next three years to qualify for cost share regarding engineering and development of these various upcoming projects in our Capital Improvement program, as well as maintenance projects of existing infrastructure and water system modeling of our current water system. This RFQ process is to satisfy the current DWR cost share requirements and to retain a qualified firm to assist with Water infrastructure engineering services. The City of Minot is seeking general engineering services and consulting services to assist, advise, design and manage water related projects for the city of Minot. This will consist of but not be limited to any and all proceedings required to design, analyze, construct, model, survey or inspect water treatment, water distribution, water transmission and water modeling or water storage projects within the City's jurisdiction as well as expansions and projects that will interact and integrate with the State NAWS system and current Minot water system. Firms interested in providing engineering services are requested to submit the following information. o Name and resumes of Project Manager, email address and other design team members to be assigned to his project and an organizational chart. Please address contingency plans should one of these employees be unavailable during the design phase. o The firm's qualifications to successfully complete the project scope. o General introduction and brief history of firm. o Confirmation the firm meets the appropriate licensing requirements of North Dakota. o References (4) - a list of similar studies and project descriptions undertaken by the firm (preferably project personnel) with name, address, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address of a contact person for each reference. o Description of relevant water infrastructure projects the firm has designed or managed. o Water modeling projects that have been completed in the past 5 years for a system size similar to Minot's. The City shall evaluate each potential consultant in terms on the following: Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services. 15 Pts. Specialized experience and technical competence of personnel in water modeling, water system design and construction management of water infrastructure and water storage systems work. 20 Pts. Location with higher priority with firms located in ND or Minot Specific. 10 Pts. Past performance on contracts in terms of cost control, quality of work and compliance with performance schedules. 15 Pts. Past work on water modeling of systems in size comparable to Minot (48,000 population) 10Pts. Past experience with City of Minot related water infrastructure projects. 20 Pts. Current and projected workload of persons and firm. 10 Pts. All proposals will be reviewed by a consultant selection team. The selection team shall select the firm they feel will supply the City the best and most complete effort based upon ratings. Selection will be based solely on the proposals.
