Renovation of a multi-residential development in Oxford, North Carolina. Working plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
As of August 3, 2022, project is on hold. No definite date for the rebid. Plans call for the installation of carbon monoxide/smoke detectors in approximately 86 apartment units. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Oxford Housing Authority of the Town of Oxford, North Carolina, U. S. Government Bank or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond or acceptable sureties in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required Bidders must conform to the provisions of the NC Contractors Licensing Act of 1925, as amended. Bidders shall comply with the Department of Labor Safety and Health Regulations for Construction Promulgated under the Occupational and Health Act of 1970 (PL 981-54). No Bidder may withdraw his bids within sixty (60) days after the actual date of opening thereof. Payment will be made on the basis of ninety percent (90%) of monthly estimates and final payment made upon completion. The Oxford Housing Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to waive any informality in proposals, or to award contract as in its judgment is deemed to be the best interest of the Authority
