A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Project includes the following Work: Modification of the existing Module #1 from the existing MLE process to the proposed SNDN process for the purpose of a full-scale Pilot Plant operation. The modifications include cleaning, painting and structural modifications of the existing Module #1, installation of new aeration system and blower, installation of new instrumentation and controls, and connection to the existing SCADA system. The project will also include relocation of existing diffusers from the Module #1 to the existing Equalization Tank, and installation of a new air pipe from the Digester Blower Building to the Equalization Tank. Bids are requested for the following Contract: La Plata WWTP - MLE Module #1 - Pilot Plant Modifications One set of bid documents will be available at the Town offices at the same address where bids will be received. One set of bid documents will also be available at the Engineer's (McCrone) office located at: 20 Ridgely Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21401, Suite 201. Documents will be available for review between the local times of 9AM and 4PM, Monday through Friday during the bidding period. The bidding period shall be from July 11, 2022 to September 2, 2022. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials.
