Work Location: Petersburg, VA - Central State Hospital PURPOSE: A. The intent and purpose of this solicitation is to establish a term contract with one qualified contractor to provide boiler control maintenance services to the Agency's Power Plant, Building #52. Boiler control maintenance services shall include preventive maintenance and inspections as well as on-call corrective maintenance (repair services). II. SCOPE OF WORK: Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, tools, materials and transportation necessary to; test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all boilers and associated equipment at Agency's Power Plant. All work shall be in accordance with the original equipment manufacturers specifications in order to assure compliance to DEQ, DOLI, and ASME. Contractor shall provide documentation of all their technical personnel being factory trained and certified by the Clever Brooks Company with their bid packet. Contractor shall provide documentation of a minimum 10 years in business as certified Boiler Repair Company with their bid packet. Contractor shall provide documentation of maintaining a similar size boiler plant at a hospital within the most recent 5 years with their bid packet. Contractor shall perform all required inspections on four (4) Clever Brooks package boilers, Model CEW-200-700-150. Also, set boiler combustion limits to provide the highest boiler efficiency possible and maintain combustion limits prescribed by DEQ for gas and oil burning. Contractor shall provide a print out on combustion results on each of the four boilers annually. The Contractor's analyzing equipment shall be calibrated and certified annually by an industry accredited testing agency. A copy of each certification shall be provided to the Agency beginning at the start of the contract and every subsequent year of the contract life cycle. Contractor shall provide additional combustion checks if requested by the Agency. Billable Hourly Rates for all classifications of the contractor's staff at both straight time, overtime, and holiday rates shall be submitted in the bid documents.
