Renovation of a mixed-use development in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The contract(s) term shall be for three (3) years including an annual review with continued service contingent on the consent of both the Contractor(s) and MPS, provided the selected Contractor(s) continues to meet all requirements and district funds are available each year. Question Due Date: 12:00 PM, Central Time, Tuesday, September 16, 2025 All Questionsshould be submitted in writing, via email to: DFMSProcurement@milwaukee.k12.wi.us, Include the name of the RFP in the subject line A. Services will include maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) work on indoor electric motorized devices, including but not limited to: Automatic Floor Scrubbers, Carpet Extractors, Rotary Scrubbers, Vacuums and Wet Vacs by various manufacturers, including but not limited to: 1. Automatic Floor Scrubbers: Convertamatic, Noble and Tennant 2. Carpet Extractor: Tennant, Nilfisk 3. Rotary Scrubbers (13", 17" or 20"): Blue Star, Advance (cannot confirm this is correct) 4. Vacuums: Sanitaire, Backpack Advance (GoPro), Kaivac (all-in-one pressure spray) 5. Wet Vac: Advance, Tennant B. MPS might utilize more than one service provider and award multiple contracts for SMALL ELECTRIC MOTOR REPAIR. C. This will be a three-year blanket contract with a not-to-exceed (NTE) of $100,000. D. SMALL ELECTRIC MOTOR EQUIPMENT REPAIR Requirements 1. AT NO COST TO MPS the successful respondent will first assess overall SMALL ELECTRIC MOTOR REPAIR condition and develop a recommended scope of work which includes both a labor and material cost estimate based on quoted prices submitted under this RFP (labor estimate must include both hours and dollars). 2. Vendor shall submit recommended scope of work to MPS Project Manager or designated staff for PM's authorization to proceed. Vendor may not proceed before work is approved. 3. Should MPS authorize the recommended scope of work; MPS will issue a Notice to Proceed to the successful respondent. 4. Should MPS decline the scope of work, the scope may be revised and resubmitted or MPS can require that the equipment motor be returned (MPS will either arrange for the motor to be picked up by MPS personnel or request that the motor be shipped to an MPS site; successful respondent's shipping charges can be applied based on the prices included in response). 5. Should MPS accept the scope of work; the successful respondent will be given notice to proceed. 6. Labor, Materials, and Shipping a. Labor: The maximum hourly labor charge for motor service must be submitted for each of the three years under the cost proposal form. b. Materials: Material descriptions, costs, and percent markup need to be clearly identified on invoices, or invoice will be rejected. i. Material markup is capped at the percentage submitted for each of the three years under the cost proposal form. c. Shipping: The successful vendor is expected to pick up MPS equipment and take it back to their shop to repair or repair the equipment on site. d. Miscellaneous: The successful respondent should be clear to incorporate all necessary charges into either their hourly labor rate and/or materials mark-up; avoiding such add-ons as, ("truck charge, gas charge, welding, charge" etc.) as any attempt to invoice artificially inflated RFP labor rates and material charges will be denied.
