Renovation of a residential development in Providence, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The Housing Authority of the City of Providence Rhode Island is accepting sealed bids for, Roof and Gutter System Replacement at twenty-four (24) scattered sites located in Providence, RI Bidders must also make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned business and to offer employment, training and contracting opportunities in accordance with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. Contact the Senior Project Manager via email at ebaldwin@provhousing.org for more information. o Bidders should email any request for information to ebaldwin@provhousing.org o Final RFI's must be submitted no later than Tuesday, August 2, 2022 by 12:00 PM o Remove and replace existing shingles, underlayment, and flashings. o Replace gutter/downspout system, venting systems, and soffits (as needed) at all buildings. o All work to be completed in full compliance with applicable OHSA and NRCA regulations. o Tear off and dispose of existing shingles, underlayment, flashings, and all other related components in approved fashion. o Inspect wood decking and repair/replace any rotted and/or damaged materials. o Install self-adhered leak barrier (HPR Aqua-Shield) over entire substrate. o Install specified asphalt shingle in color selected by owner with ridge and hip shingle/vents per specification. o Repair damaged wood fascia as needed. o Replace existing gutter/downspout/soffit systems with new custom .040 aluminum seamless rollformed gutter/downspout system 5" x 5" size with 1" depth to width ratio; 4" x 4" minimum downspout size with 30' maximum length between downspouts supported every 16" o.c. per included SMACNA gutter calculations in color selected by owner. o It is the contractor's responsibility to field verify all measurements and quantities. o Furnish and install approved stainless steel mesh gutter guards (EasyOn) in all gutters. o Clean up and remove all roofing debris from the job site. o Live load in/out daily; no trash storage on site o The site is to be clean and orderly at the completion of each work day
