Per the owner, as of November 3, 2023, a design team has been selected. The owner states that construction is about a year out. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. .............. You are invited to offer a Proposal to the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County (ACCGov), Owner, to provide Public Engagement, Architectural Programming, Site Selection, Architectural and Site Design, Engineering, and Construction Administration services as described herein for a new Fire Station #5 Project. The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County desires to solicit competitive Proposals from responsible vendors to provide Architectural, Design and Engineering, and Construction Administration services as described herein for the development of the Fire Station #5 Replacement Project. STEP 1 - The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County is issuing this REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) to identify potential providers of the above-mentioned services. Some firms that respond to this RFQ, who are determined by the Evaluation Committee to be especially qualified, may be deemed eligible and may be invited to interview and offer fee proposals for these services. All respondents to this RFQ are subject to instructions communicated in this document and are cautioned to completely review the entire RFQ and follow the instructions carefully. STEP 2 - Shortlisted Firms will be asked to submit comprehensive Design Professional Fee Proposals and attend interviews as instructed in the Request for Proposals (RFP). Shortlisted Firms will be those firms determined by the Evaluation Committee to be especially qualified to perform as the Design Professional for this portion of the Project in accordance with the qualification criteria herein. Offerors shall acknowledge this project may experience a pause after the completion of conceptual plan design and preliminary cost estimate development. The successful Design Professional will be determined from the qualifications, interviews and fee proposals received. This service is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The total Project Budget currently stands at $6.4 million. Additional grant and/or other funds are continuously being sought to increase the project budget. The estimated range, of the design fees, for this project is between $200,000 and $500,000. The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any technicalities or irregularities, and to award the contract based on the highest and best interest of the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
