Qulliq Energy Corporation ('QEC' or 'Corporation') is inviting bidders to provide a tender with respect to the work set out in this Request for Tender (RFT) for manufacture, supply, and on-site testing & commissioning services of one (1) 3000 - 3500 ekW, continuous rated, 1200 rpm or less diesel-powered with minimum EPA Tier II emission rated Generator set and its ancillary equipment. Qulliq Energy Corporation is a Crown Corporation owned 100% by the Government of Nunavut (GN). Originally incorporated as Nunavut Power Corporation (NPC) under the Nunavut Utilities Act, NPC was renamed Qulliq Energy Corporation under the Qulliq Energy Corporation Act, legislation which was passed in March 2003. Accordingly, the Corporation's procurement activities and processes are governed by several statutes, manuals, policies, rules and practices that the Corporation has to comply with. Copies of some of the documents related to QEC procurement may be availed upon request. It may be in interest of bidders to familiarize themselves with the contents of some of these documents that guide QEC procurement processes. The Corporation generates and distributes power to Nunavummiut through the operation of 25 diesel generation plants in 25 communities and provides mechanical, electrical and line maintenance from three regional centers, and administers the Corporation's business activities from offices in Iqaluit and Baker Lake. The manufacture, supply, testing and commissioning services required for new diesel-powered generator set and ancillary equipment to replace existing generator set (G4) must meet the 2024 sealift and achieve Substantial Completion by December 31, 2024, and Final Completion by March 31, 2025.
