TheNational Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak) is seeking to establish longerterm relationship(s) as part of an on-going effort to increase efficiencies andachieve operating cost efficiencies. Amtrak intends to secure Pre-Negotiated Master Agreement(s) withselected firm(s) capable of providing design services for Network andCommunication on an as-needed basis. This work will be awarded via the issuance of workreleases (individual purchase order contracts). Itis anticipated that the initial annual spend for this work will be ~$1M andgrow slightly in subsequent years. Amtrak will issue Master Agreement(s) toestablish a basis for awarding future business. These Master Agreement(s) willestablish billable maximum fully-burdened rates for a three (3) year periodwith two (2) one (1) year option periods for renewal. As projects arise, Amtrak will develop aspecific project scope of services and will subsequently contract for the workusing a work release. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
