Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Wiarton, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

This is the first phase (Phase 1) of a two-phase competition: the first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all bidders; second phase (Phase 2) will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Upon award of contract in Phase Two the pre-qualification list will be terminated, no additional contracts will be awarded. The project site is located in Wiarton, Ontario, on the west shore of Georgian Bay approximately 30 km northwest of Owen Sound, in the traditional territory of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation. The purpose of this project is to repair the existing rubblemound breakwater at the Town Launch Ramp (off of William Street / Brown Street). The work under this contract covers: Base Bid: 1. Removal and disposal of the existing concrete. 2. Salvaging and repositioning existing displaced armour stone. 3. Removal and disposal of unsuitable existing and/or native rock material. 4. Supply and installation of new core stone and geotextile. 5. Supply and installation of new armour stone.Completion of the breakwater to the final elevation will then consist of: Option 1: Rubblemound Breakwater .1 Supply and installation of additional armour stone. Option 2: Rubblemound Breakwater with Concrete Walkway 1. Construction of concrete blocking. 2. Supply and installation of additional geotextile and clear stone. 3. Supply and installation of additional armour stone. 4. Construction of a new concrete walkway. 5. Salvaging, reinstating and energizing existing light standards.It is anticipated the Contractor can perform and complete the Work in approximately 4-6 weeks from contract award.
