A Professional Architectural Corporation (OFA), 900 South College Road, Ste. 305. Lafayette, Louisiana 70503. Contractors are invited to submit a bid for the construction of Modernization of Housing 2019, 2020, & 2021 CFP - HVAC Additions @ Site LA59-2, Phase II. Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA R.S. 37:2150-2163 for the Classification of General Contractor. oEach bona fide bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S.38: 2212(A)(1)(c). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA R.S. 38:2214 or without the consent of the Housing Authority. oThe Work for this project is generally described as selective interior demolition and modification to interior closets to receive new blower furnaces, removal of gas wall heaters, rerouting existing gas line to new furnace, reconnection of existing flue through roof for gas fired furnace, installation of new ductwork and ceiling registers, new cooling coils, refrigerant lines, and exterior condenser unit, minor concrete work, painting and finishing, and other minor mechanical and electrical work, and other necessary and required work for proper installation as described in the specifications and construction documents. oBids shall be a Stipulated Sum basis as per the original documents. oThe Owner requires the Architect to issue Substantial Completion of the Work on or before 120 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Thereafter, liquidated damages will be charged. oA Bid Security (a certified check or bank draft made payable to the Housing Authority, U. S. Government Bonds, or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable Sureties) in the amount of 5% of the highest possible bid amount is required. Bids are required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submittal. Submit bids on the Bid Form provided. Refer to Document 00 21 13 Instructions to Bidders and 00 43 93 Bid Submittal Checklist for additional information. oAttention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the specifications under the Davis-Bacon Act must be paid on this project. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. Bidders should be aware that the project is funded by Capital Fund Program of the Department of Housing & Urban Development of the Government of the United States. Sub-bidders may obtain copies of Bidding Documents from prime contractor's or by registering with OFA for electronic pdf documents. Bidding Documents are available, for review only, at the Central Office of the Housing Authority. No copies will be provided to any contractor from the office of the Housing Authority. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds. oEXAMINATION OF SITE- The site is available for examination by Bidders and Sub-bidders at any time during working hours. The Bidders and Sub-bidders shall notify the Architect and the Owner 72-hours prior to visiting the site for coordination of Owner's operation. oPRE-BID CONFERENCE- A Pre-Bid conference will be scheduled by addendum.
