Renovation of a municipal facility in Iowa City, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Project is described in general as: the floor replacement at the second level south and office renovations on the third level. Structural, architectural, and mechanical and electrical work is included. Offers shall be on a stipulated sum basis for a single General Construction Contract, including respective civil, mechanical, and electrical work; segregated bids will not be accepted. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Products and materials incorporated in the Work of this Project are Exempt from Iowa sales tax and local option sales tax. Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond will be required in the full amount of the contract. The Work under this Contract shall have limited on-site access. Mobilization for Work on-site shall begin no earlier than Monday October 3, 2022 and be completed, with all equipment placed in operation, on or before the anticipated Substantial Completion Date of Monday April 3, 2023, subject to an extension of time which may be granted by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularity in the bids and in the bidding and to enter into such contract as shall be deemed to be in the Owners best interest
