Remove and replacement of 60 feet of existing curb, gutters, and installation of asphalt in three (3) areas according to District plans, specifications, and contract documents. All Bidders shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professional Code of the State of California, and shall be licensed in the following classification: B Contractor's License or C-12 Earthwork and Paving License Each Bidder shall also have no less than five (5) years' experience in the magnitude and character of the work bid. Each bid shall be submitted on the bid form provided in the bid documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and Surety Company, or certified check, or cashier's check in favor of POWAY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, or cash, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid. Said Bid Bond shall be given to guarantee that the Bidder will execute the contract as specified, within three (3) working days after the notification of the award of the contract to the Bidder. Payment and Performance Bonds shall be required. The Contractor shall be permitted to substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under this contract, such substitution to be subject to the limitations and requirements of Public Contract Code Section 22300. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bidsor in the bidding.
