The scope of work for this project consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for wharf repairs in Forteau, NL in strict accordance with specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract. In general, the work under this contract will consist of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following: .1 Demolition and removal of fenders, ladders, wheelguard, coping, wheelguard blocking, as specifically shown on the drawings. Note that any creosote timber and other demolition debris removed as part of the demolition work will have to be disposed of at a Provincially approved waste disposal facility. .2 Supply and installation of structural timber for coping, wheelguard, wheelguard blocking, fenders, ladders, wales/vertical wale supports (at span location as noted on the drawings), chase for electrical conduit and associated hardware, where repairs are required as noted on the drawings. Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review specification Section 01 35 29 - Health and Safety Requirements before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.
