This renovation is to address those bunkers that have been washed out time and time again by heavy rains and thunderstorms. Due to the washouts, the sand in those bunkers gets mixed with soil and silt and inevitably creates a hard pan layer in the bunker that will not allow water to drain properly. By removing all of the material inside the bunkers and starting from scratch, we can make sure the finished product will last many years to come, playing the same as it did on day one. The contractor must remove all original material to get back to the base soil/clay layer. The golf course will provide a staging area for this old material to be hauled to. A dump truck may be provided by the City of Davenport to haul this material upon request of the contractor. New 4" perforated drainage pipe is to be installed to allow water to drain efficiently. New outlets may be installed if needed, or new pipe can be connected to current outlets if possible. Approximate lengths of drainage pipe per bunker will be provided by the Golf Supervisor. Davenport Golf is looking for a qualified contractor to complete a bunker renovation at Emeis Golf Course. This renovation will address the bunkers that are in the worst shape with a list of those bunkers with approximate square footage to be provided by the Golf Supervisor.
