The project is expected to be awarded on October 2022. ** The Project consists of the construction of the Fluoridation Building, construction of building-related structural, architectural, mechanical (HVAC and plumbing), and electrical components and systems, installation of new and relocated fluoridation system components, installation of new piping, valves and appurtenances, and site work, at the Village of Albion Water Treatment Plant located at 961 Wilson Road, Waterport, NY 14571, as noted in the bidding documents (drawings dated December 2021 and specifications dated January 2022). Bids will be received for one General Construction contract. As indicated in the Bid Form, the Base Bid shall be on a stipulated sum basis. All bids shall be made on the form furnished by the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All questions or requests for information must be submitted by 5:00 PM on August 9, 2022. This project is funded by a New York State Drinking Water Fluoridation Grant, as administered by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH). This project is subject to requirements as outlined in Attachment B of Section 007314 of the Specifications and including, but not limited to the following. Contractor must comply with all requirements in Attachment B of Section 007314. The requirements and procedures for business participation opportunities for New York State certified Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises ("MWBE") and Equal Employment Opportunities ("EEO") for minority group members and women. The MWBE combined goal for construction contracts is 30% of the contract value (15% MBE and 15% WBE) for any contract with a value above $100,000. The Village strongly encourages MWBEs to submit bids for the General Construction contract and the inclusion of MWBEs as sub-contractors. This project is subject to Municipal Law requirements for prevailing wages and Davis Bacon Act wage requirements.
