The work consists of the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Highland Avenue between Lexington Street and the Watertown/Waltham boundary line and Chapman Street between Grandview Avenue and Main Street in the City of Watertown, as directed by the DPW Superintendent or the Engineer. The proposed work under this contract includes full depth pavement reclamation, excavation of existing pavement, fine grading & compacting, hot mix asphalt paving, removing / resetting existing granite curb, and installation of new granite curbing asrequired. Additional improvements include constructing new cement concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons to meet ADA/AAB requirements, constructing ADA/AAB compliant pedestrian curb ramps, minor drainage system improvements, green infrastructure enhancements, removing / resetting or replacing roadway signage, pavement markings, safety controls and signing for construction operations, and other incidental items and related work as directed by the DPW Superintendent or the Engineer.
