Polk County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida, is soliciting bids for the following: BID #22-533, Clubhouse/Tillery Road Drainage Improvements The work includes but is not limited to, erosion control, clearing and grubbing, excavation, embankment, stabilization, base, asphalt, milling, resurfacing, drainage, dewatering handrail, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk and driveways, detectable warnings, sodding, signing and pavement markings, and maintenance of traffic for the Clubhouse/Tillery Road drainage improvement project. Qualification Requirements: The prime contractor shall have an underground construction license or a State of Florida Licensed General Contractor. A Copy of the license shall be submitted with the bid proposal. The construction cost estimate for the project is $312,000.00 with final completion in 180 calendar days from notice to proceed. The prime contractor should submit with their bid a minimum of four (4) references of comparable work within County/FDOT right-of-way within the past five (5) years. References will be checked during bid analysis phase. The references must show work performed by the prime contractor submitting the bid. References should include the following minimum information: a) Project Name b) Owner's name, contact person, phone number, and email address c) Superintendent's name d) Project contract value and year completed Failure to provide the above minimum information may be cause to deem the contractor as non-responsive. Percentage of Work: The prime contractor shall perform a minimum of 51% of all work contained within the scope of work as outlined in the bid documents and special conditions, with the exception of signalization. This percentage of work requirement does not include the furnishing of materials or equipment in the construction, if not installed by the primary contractor.
