In 2017, The City awarded a contract (RFP 17-1532) to the highest rated proponent for In-Situ Non-Destructive Examination of Metallic Watermains, Forcemains and Syphons for The City of Calgary. How ever inspection of the forcemains began in 2018 and due to COVID and operational constraints the inspections were delayed. "Notice is hereby given by The City of Calgary ("The City") of its intent to extend contract with Pipeline Inspection & Condition Analysis Corporation (PICA) for three (3) additional years; ending in 2025, for the provision of In-Situ Non-Destructive Examination of Metallic Watermains, Forcemains and Syphons for The City of Calgary. During the three (3) year of the term, The City reserves the right to evaluate the results of the inspections and may go back to market for a request for proposal; this decision will be determined by financial environment, and resource availability. The City reserves the right to determine the relevance of any communication and accept or reject the communication as deemed in the best interest of The City.
