ECUA Godwin Lane Truck Access Improvements The ECUA Godwin Lane Truck Access Improvements project is a single-phase project. The Base Bid, will include removal of 198 LF of concrete curb, 13 SY of existing asphalt, 2,010 SY of existing gravel driveways, 1 30" diameter oak tree, 1 36" diameter oak tree and 2 tree stumps and construction of 677 LF of FDOT Type F curb and gutter, 590 LF of 12" concrete ribbon curb, 130 LF of valley gutter, 1531 SY of asphalt driveways, 93 SY of gravel driveways, 359 LF of 18" HP Storm storm water piping, 1 County Type A Curb inlet and 2 storm water manholes. The project has one Additive Alternate Bid which will include the removal of 39 LF of concrete curb, 208 SY of existing asphalt and the construction of 208 SY of asphalt driveways. One functioning driveway access to Pine Forest Road must be maintained at all times. Therefore, construction of the paved access drive must be phased. Construction on the south driveway connection and access road will be completed first. Once the south driveway and access road can be used by ECUA to access the sanitation truck fueling parking lot, construction on the north driveway connection and access road will commence. The Emerald Coast Utilities Authority reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid; reject any or all bids, in whole or in part; re-bid a project, in whole or in part; and to accept a bid that in its judgment is the lowest and best bid of a responsible bidder. In accepting a bid, ECUA may award a contract based only on the base bid, the base bid plus all alternates, or the base bid plus any alternates which ECUA selects - with all decisions being made based upon what ECUA believes to be in the best interests of its ratepayers, in the reasonable exercise of its discretion. ECUA further reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities as may be required to meet the needs of ECUA, at the unit price which was bid. There is no pre-bid meeting scheduled. ECUA reserves the right to reject any or all bids and re-advertise.
