Design Build TASK ORDER - Replacement of Roof and Bldg 91020 & Bldg 91049 The Defense Health Agency (DHA) recognizes that Hurlburt Field roofing, wall systems, and roof downspout drainage system on Building 91020 (80,000 SF) and the roof on Building 91049 (4,000 SF) have reached a point where they are no longer reliable with respect to their waterproofing and shedding capabilities. Water intrusion has begun to damage internal structural elements; and has also compromised medical treatment to patients within the building. The water intrusion has occurred in numerous locations, originating through defective elements associated with the metal roof system, low-slope membrane roof system, exterior metal wall panels, and exterior wall joints. Additionally, the existing moisture barrier and through-wall flashing systems within the drainage cavity of the exterior walls has become compromised and is no longer effective in keeping moisture from penetrating into the building. This project will be for the full replacement of the existing metal roof and wall panel assemblies, complete with a new moisture barrier membrane behind the panels. This project is also to create a new "moisture barrier" on the exterior face of the existing masonry wall cladding such that all cracks, joints, and penetrations are completely sealed and watertight. The finished product shall provide the entire building with a new and refreshed exterior. The existing windows and glazed assemblies are to remain but are to be resealed as required in the scope. The replacement and repair scopes within are necessary in order to restore the roof and wall systems of the facilities to a water-tight condition to avoid further damage to interior and exterior building components. These scopes of work are also necessary to eliminate negative impacts to the daily operations within the facility and the overall mission of the 1ST Special Operations Support Group.
