The Jefferson County Purchasing Department / Director Facilities & Safety will be accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors for "Addition to Trash Dumpster" enclosure at the Jefferson County Emergency Services Center in New Market, TN (EMS/911). Specifications are as follows:
o Remove approximately 14' of existing concrete curb
o Remove approximately 15' x 32' of existing asphalt parking
o Add 3000 psi concrete foundation for block reinforced with three continuous #4
rebar
o Construct approximately 28' of 8" block walls at same height and design as
existing walls
o Pour vertical cells in block at 48" on center and at top of wall reinforced with one
#5 rebar
o Install four 6' X 8' bollards with PVC caps to match existing
o Pour 4000 psi concrete apron 6" deep with 1' x 1' turndown at edges reinforced
with welded wire mesh in apron and one #4 rebar in turndown
o Install chain link gates with inserts to match existing
o Paint new block to match existing
o Seed and straw any disturbed grass areas
o Work in a controlled area--Parking Lot
o Must be orderly and neat
o Clean up job site at end of each day Jefferson County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to Waive any and all irregularities in the receipt/handling of bids. The awarded bidder must be in good standing with the county of Jefferson Jefferson County assures that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex, as provided by title vi of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and as amended, and the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 (P.I. 100.259) be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance from the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).
