Per the owner, as of September 5, 2024, this project is in the Design/ROW phase. The owner states that the project is anticipated to bid in the fall of 2025 and construction is anticipated to begin in late 2025. .............. Avenue 280 is a principal east-west roadway that links State Route 99 (SR 99) and the Cities of Visalia, Farmersville, and Exeter, as well as unincorporated areas of Tulare County. Within the City of Visalia, Avenue 280 is named Caldwell Avenue. Within the City of Farmersville, Avenue 280 is named Visalia Road. On August 31, 2021, the Board approved an agreement with 4 Creeks, Inc. (4Creeks) to provide Professional Engineering Services for the design of the Avenue 280 Widening Project (The Project). The Project will widen the Avenue 280 corridor from Road 140 (Lovers Lane) to Road 160 (Virginia Avenue) between the cities of Visalia and Farmersville. The Tulare County Resource Management Agency is proceeding with right-of-way phase for Segment 2 of the Avenue 280 Widening Project. The County is requesting Proposals from rightof-way consultants to complete the right-of-way phase for the Project. The Project will be locally funded through Measure R. October 2022 - Notice to Proceed February 2023 - Appraisals Complete July 2023 - Purchase and Sales Agreements Executed January 2024 - Begin Construction Written Questions Due by July 7, 2022 Respond to Questions by July 14, 2022 All questions relating to this RFP must be addressed in writing (e-mail is acceptable) to Juan Carmona, Contract Administrator, Tulare County RMA, 5961 South Mooney Boulevard, Visalia, CA 93277 or at jcarmona@tularecounty.ca.gov The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Proposals received as a result of this request, to negotiate with any qualified firm or to modify or cancel in part or in its entirety the Request for Proposal if it is in the best interests of the County to do so. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
