The Department of Water Resources has developed a 5 year program for inspection of the City's water storage tanks. Each tank is inspected inside and outside by a tank coating specialist every 5 years and routine maintenance, including removing and applying coating paint is scheduled based on these recommendations. Project is included City of Lynchburg FY2024- 2028. As of June 11, 2024, per owner, that U0005 number is from the budget CIP and is a standard pot fund for water tank projects. Not a specific single project. We are using it to pay for the 5 year inspections – Dixon Engineering. And the current designs – Dixon Engineering. Next construction project will be next summer (the ones Dixon is designing this fiscal year). *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
