Renovation of a mixed-use development in Norfolk, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage; and transportation facility.
The Scope of this project includes full structural and waterproofing repairs on two existing garages, each with five tiers, on the airport's campus. The scope also includes various modernizations to those facilities. Repairs and modernizations include but are not limited to: o Concrete spall repair o Concrete crack repair o Column repairs o CIP concrete construction/repairs o P/T tendon repair o Steel repair o Expansion joint assembly replacement o Concrete cleaning/Pressure washing o Drain installation and replacement o CMU repair o New deck coating and sealing systems o Staining/painting undersides of decks and various other locations in the garages o Demolition and replacement of two existing stair assemblies spanning 5 tiers each o Demolition and replacement of an exterior vestibule structure composed of glass, steel, and membrane roofing. o Two elevator modernizations o Demolition and replacement of all signage throughout the garages o Demolition and replacement of all lighting assemblies throughout the garages Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Contractor registration in accordance with Title 2.2 Chapter 43, Code of Virginia is required. The Bidder shall include in its Bid the following notation: "Licensed Virginia Contractor No Withdrawal of Bids due to error shall be subject to and in accordance with Section 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia and the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to waive minor non-substantive informalities in the Bid, to reject any/or all Bids, to award any Bid in whole or in part and award the Bid considered to be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner also reserves the right to negotiate with the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder should Bid exceed available funds. The Norfolk Airport Authority does not discriminate in the solicitation or awarding of contracts on the basis of race, religion, faith-based organizations, color, national origin, age, disability or any other basis prohibited by state or federal law.
