Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Wichita, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
As of August 16, 2022, project was awarded to KING CONSTRUCTION CO INC, awarded amount is $9,800,998.60. Amidon Bridge at Arkansas River A Bid Bond in the Amount of Five Percent (5%) of the Total Bid or an Annual Bid Bond is Required Prior to Bid Opening. Any questions prior to bid submittal should be directed to Shawn Mellies, P.E., Project Engineer, at (316) 268-4632 or smellies@wichita.gov. For state/federal aid projects, the prime contractor must be on the Kansas Department of Transportation's pre-qualified contractors list. The work order on this project shall be issued at the Contractor's request prior to October 1, 2022 contingent upon the City of Wichita having an executed contract and at Engineer's approval. The work order will be issued on October 1, 2022 unless the contractor request it prior to that date. Conflicts with utilities shall not have an effect on the completion date. All work on the project except landscaping shall be completed by December 1, 2023 and the landscaping shall be completed by June 1, 2024
