Renovation of a fire / police facility in Gardena, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, plant, supplies, equipment, transportation, superintendence, temporary construction of every nature, and all other services and facilities necessary to complete the construction of replacing throughout the 3 levels existing interior & exterior light fixtures with LED type, new switches and occupancy sensors, replacement of existing acoustical ceiling grid system, repair of selected hard ceiling, new HVAC ducts to extend to relocated registers, replacement of existing exhaust fans located on the roof including, abatement of asbestos and/or lead and all incidental work described in the contract documents. October 25, 2022 - City Council Award of Contract November 8, 2022 - Order Long Lead Time Item(s) within 14 Calendar Days after City Council Award September 15, 2022 - Submit Contract Documents within 21 calendar days after City Council award 1st Week of January, 2023 - Notice to Proceed/Start Construction The time of completion of contract shall be 110 working days as defined in the latest Standard Specifications for Public Works ("Greenbook"). Liquidated Damages, as defined in Section 6-9, shall be $1,000 per each consecutive calendar day. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective bids received. The award, if made, will be made to the lowest responsive responsible bidder.
