Renovation of a mixed-use development in Apalachicola, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility; and water / sewer project.
Construction of a new fuel farm with concrete foundation, 12,000-gallon Jet-A and 12,000-gallon Avgas tanks, fuel system equipment, self-serve terminal, fencing, drainage improvements, and backup generator. Bid security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid must be submitted with the bid. The bid security may be either a certified check or a proposal guaranty bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Florida. Bid security shall be made payable to the Franklin County. The successful bidder must be able to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond, and shall begin execution of this contract within five (5) calendar days following the date of the Notice to Proceed. Franklin County has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for this project. The DBE participation goal for this project is 6.96% and compliance requirements are listed in the bidding documents. Questions related to the Bid Documents will be answered at that time. Attendance by prime contractors is encouraged but not required. Funding for this project is being provided by TRIUMPH Gulf Coast and a copy of the grant is provided in the Project Manual. The Franklin County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies and to accept any bid that it may deem to be in the best interest of the County. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of 120 calendar days following the bid opening.
