Site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for the addition of a municipal facility; playground / park / athletic field; and playground / park / athletic field.
Plans may call for constructing and/or renovating a building for use as a Town Hall. Secondly, the Junior B hockey team is interested in constructing a change room on the north side of the existing recreation centre. TIMELINE: A feasibility study has been completed by the consultant. The goal was to review four options for development or upgrading of a new building for the Town Hall and provide information regarding the merits and potential costing for each option: 1. Upgrade and expand the existing Town Hall building to meet all code requirements and ensure there is appropriate space allocations for current and future requirements. 2. Construct a new Town Hall building immediately to the north of the existing building on two lots that were purchased by the Town previously. 3. An addition to the Rocky Regional Recreation Centre. (There are two potential sub options within this building). 4. Construct a dressing room for the Junior B team at the existing recreation centre that would allow for future expansion for additional dressing rooms for other sports activities as well as the ability to add further administrative space if required. At this time, no decisions have been made by the owner. Project plans may be further evaluated in fall/winter 2024. *Budget to be determined.
