This project will generally consist of modifications to the domestic hot water system, improvements to the HVAC system and installation of electrical in support of the changes. Work shall include installation of removal of the existing temperature maintenance cabling system for domestic hot water; installation of new domestic water heaters, thermostatic mixing valve, and hot water recirculation piping; removal of existing dedicated outside air units and installation of new outside air units; removal of power connections to mechanical systems noted, installation of new power panels, and power connections to new equipment. Trades involved shall include but are not limited to: demolition, concrete, drywall, painting ceilings, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, ductwork, electrical, and fire alarm. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee (in the form of a bid bond or certified check) of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the lump sum base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and a separate 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instructions to Bidders and/or General Conditions. Bonds should be executed by a surety company authorized to do business by the Kentucky Secretary of State and the Kentucky Department of Insurance within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
