As of 08/31/2022 Awarded to the low bid of J.H. Ahrens of Stevens Point in the amount of $50,395.00 and authorize execution of a contract Marshfield Fire Station Boiler Replacement Bids will be received for replacement or the existing boiler heating system in the Fire Station located at 514 East 4th St, in Marshfield, WI. The scope of the work includes 1) Furnish two new boilers and other materials necessary for installation. 2) Provide all labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for complete installation. 3) Remove and dispose of four existing boilers and all components and incidentals that are no longer needed. No bid may be withdrawn by the Bidder for a period of forty-five (45) days following the date of the bid opening, within which time the contract will be awarded by the Common Council. All bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contracts and a 100% Performance Bond with the City within one week after the award of the bid. If the successful bidder so fails to file such contract the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. Successful contractor shall obtain and pay for all necessary permits and fees. The Board of Public Works reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities in bidding, and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the City of Marshfield.
