The Town of Woodfin is requesting that licensed engineering firms submit qualifications with expertise in stormwater infrastructure planning, design and permitting within the town limits. The selected firm will be expected to: 1) evaluate and explore the current condition, material, location, and structural integrity of the existing storm water system by means of survey, video inspection, and other means necessary, 2) make recommendations to correct any deficiencies or concerns with the existing system, ranked by order of need, to include cost estimates, and 3) integrate inventory data into GIS. The selected firm shall work at the direction of town staff in creating a plan of implementation to address such stormwater infrastructure deficiencies. The selected firm may also assist with other services such as funding/financial consultation, surveying, detailed engineering design, and other related items at the town's discretion. Fold out pages are not allowed. In order to reduce costs and to facilitate recycling, binders, dividers, tabs, etc. are prohibited. One staple in the upper left-hand corner is preferred. RFQ's containing more than FIFTEEN (15) pages will not be considered. One original and two (2) copies, and one (1) USB drive containing a digital copy of the complete response package in PDF format of the RFQ shall be submitted. All RFQ's must be handdelivered or delivered via US Post or other delivery service. No e-mail or fax submittals will be accepted. Following the selection of the successful submitter, a turn-key scope of work including tasks, fees and schedule will be negotiated and submitted to the town for review and final approval. Proposals received after the required deadline will not be accepted. The Town of Woodfin reserves the right to approve, deny, or negotiate a proposal or readvertise for additional proposals for the project if deemed necessary. Town staff reserve the right to interview any or all of the applicants to help aid in determining the most qualified firm. The bidding requirements of the North Carolina General Statutes will be considered when reviewing and approving the final firm. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time
