Renovation of a fire / police facility in Montreal, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The project aims to modernize and upgrade the coroner's office morgue and the autopsy rooms of the forensic science and legal medicine laboratory located in the basement of the Wilfrid-Derome building at 1701 Parthenais Street in Montreal. These rooms date from the building's construction in 1968. They are therefore outdated and not adapted to modern methods and technologies in terms of safety, efficiency, functionality, ergonomics and hygiene. TIMELINE: This project included under the number 569 in list of the projects with a value equal or exceeding $50 million managed by Quebec Treasury Board Secretariat is very preliminary. The awarded professional consultant has completed a real estate analysis of the premises for the subsequent project implementation and submitted to the owner the study report that is now under review. Scope of work, budget and timelines of the project development are being finalized. Further update in early mid- to late 2026.
