As of October 2024, the project is in design. Contractor bidding is expected to commence in November 2024. Construction is expected to begin in the spring 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: SUMMARY OF PROJECTS: 1. Belville Elementary -575 River Rd, Leland, NC 28451. Design and Construction Administration for removal and replacement of approximately 108,000 square feet of existing metal roof. SCOPE OFWORK: The following may be considered a minimal list of project requirements, and shall not be considered all-inclusive: 1. Evaluate Metal Roofs a. Make site visit. i. Review existing roofing system ii. Design and installation 2. Utilize Effective Design and Construction Methods to: a. Design roof system to meet current building codes. b. Design for efficient removal of metal roof and any damaged components c. Re-use of components if possible and financially feasible. d. Ensure proper material selection and workmanship. e. Certify construction standards and warranty workmanship. f. Site visits on a weekly basis. g. Must be licensed in the State of North Carolina There will be no pre-bid meeting.
