Airfield Markings and Surface Preparations THE PROJECT consists of the repainting of Runway and Taxiway markings, including taxiway lead lines and surface preparations. There will be no Pre-bid Conference. LFUCAB, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that for any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprise will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Translation services are available upon request. RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS. The LFUCAB proposes to award the Contract to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. Bidder is advised that LFUCAB reserves the right to reject any and all Bids submitted, to waive any and all informalities, irregularities and/or technicalities in any Bid, to accept any Bid deemed advantageous to it; and, to negotiate changes, deletions, or additions to these Contract Documents with the successful Bidder. Bids must be submitted on the standard form of Bid Proposal. The installation of the taxiway markings must meet the following minimum requirements: Adhere to FAA Advisory Circular 150/5340-1, latest edition Taxiway work will be performed at night from approximately 12:30am to 5:00am. Contractor's staff will be escorted by airport staff. All Runway holding position markings and aiming points need Type III beads For the surface cleaning and/or removal of paint markings: Surface preparation is the cleaning and removal of anything that would reduce the bond between a newly applied material and the surface. The Vendor must be capable of performing surface preparations required and should specify the method to be used when existing markings, and other surface materials, interfere with or would cause adhesion problems with new marking. In addition, the contractor must demonstrate its experience in performing similar work at commercial airports. Drawings illustrating the work area are included in the bid package.
