The improvement consists of: all work and materials required to complete the fencing and wall improvements at the Bellingham Police Department, 505 Grand Avenue, Bellingham, WA 98225. Price Range: $500,000 - $600,000 All proposals must be upon the Bid Proposal form provided by the City of Bellingham and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, cash, money order or bid bond payable to the Finance Director in an amount equal to or exceeding five percent (5%) of the total bid. No other form of bid security is acceptable. The right is reserved to postpone making the award for a reasonable length of time, to reject any and all bids, or to waive irregularities not affecting substantial rights. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Demolition and disposal of the existing tube steelframed, stucco coated wall at the perimeter of the existing courtyard area and replace with a new, 8 ft. tall, corrugated steel fence, on top of a new concrete curb, per specifications (See Engineer drawing, 1/S1.0). A new, automated, specified corrugated steel pedestrian gate (See Engineer drawing, 7/S1.0) will be installed at the existing sidewalk entry off C Street (with Symmetry Blue Card Reader accessibility, to match existing BPD card readers). Prime and paint (2coat application) the corrugated steel fence and gate. Paint to match the existing Police Dept. Buildings exterior stucco (upon Project Mangers / owners review and approval). On the top of all the corrugated steel fence and gate, install the Rotating Anti-Climb Topper made by Alexandra Security.
