Project Description: In accordance with plans and specifications prepared by Placer County Water Agency, the Work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, tax, equipment and services for the construction and completion of modifications to the existing tank (120' ID, 28' side-shell) including replacement of the ladder climb fall protection system, design of a fall protection railing on top of the tank, modifications to allow for a future mixer and powervent installation, installing a d-bolt anchor at the top landing of the ladder for fall protection, adding unistrut for future mixer and vent conduits, installing two d-ring anchors for fall protection on top of the tank, installing four 16-inch air vents on top of the tank, prepping the tank for recoating, blasting and recoating of the tank interior and exterior surfaces of the tank and appurtenances, providing all monitoring, testing for lead-based paint, blasting media containment, and climate control equipment as necessary, proper transportation and disposal of all waste materials, reinstalling all equipment, and washout, filling, chlorination and disinfection, and assistance with testing and returning the tank to service. Bids received from Bidders who did not sign the sign-in sheet and attend the meeting and walk-through will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Attendance by subcontractors is not mandatory, but all interested prospective subcontractors are encouraged to attend. The Owner will transmit to all recipients complete sets of Contract Documents such Addenda as Owner considers necessary in response to questions raised at the meeting and walk-through. Oral statements not confirmed by Addenda may not be relied upon and are not binding or legally effective. Except for mandatory walk-through, no other access to the project site will be granted pre-bid without the Owner's approval. During all site visits the Bidder must be accompanied full time by an authorized representative of the Owner. No exceptions to this requirement.
