Electric Work (Statewide) and/or Specialty: Electrical Transmission Lines Contract Time - 730 Calendar Days with Option to Renew Liquidated Damages: $140 per Calendar Day, per Job/Work Order A Certified Check or Cashier's Check, payable to the City of Ruston, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Contractor and an acceptable surety, in an amount not less than $150,000 or 5% of Base Proposal, whichever is greater, shall be submitted with each proposal. Contractors are advised that a Performance Bond, in the amount of not less than $250,000 or 25% of the Base Proposal, whichever is greater, will be required. Unit Pricing shall be received only on proposal forms furnished by the City. In no event shall proposal forms be issued later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the hour and date set for receiving proposals. The Contractor is advised that the city of Ruston is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All Contractors proposing on this work shall comply with all provisions of the State Licensing Law for Contractors, R.S. 37:2150-2163, as amended, for all public contracts. Contractors must be licensed in one and/or both of the above proper categories of work and must show their license number on the face of the sealed proposal envelope. Bid proposals, amendments or request for withdrawal of proposals, received after time specified for proposal submittal shall not be considered for any cause whatsoever. The bid proposal is firm for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of the submittal deadline and no proposal can be withdrawn for any reason during this period of time. The city of Ruston reserves the right to reject any or all proposals for just cause.
