Location of the Work: Building 2370, NAS Patuxent River, Maryland Description of the Work: The work includes a building addition of approximately 5,440 square feet to B2370; the addition is a rectangular slope roof building similar to the existing building and will connect to the existing north façade of Building 2370; the addition will be a secure space and will include open and walled offices and a conference room; the addition will have vertical galvalume metal rainscreen wall panels with low slope light gray metal roof similar to Building 2370; the addition roof will be a low slope metal standing seam roof with a slope approximately 1-1/2:12 similar but slightly steeper than adjacent structures; the superstructure of the addition consists of a metal deck, structural steel, and steel open-web joists; foundation system consists of concrete shallow spread footings; HVAC and plumbing, electrical and telecommunications are to be provided; site improvements include the addition of parking spaces, grading and drainage improvements and utility connections and incidental related work. The project includes a Base Bid: CLIN 0001: Price for the entire work for the addition to Building 2370, complete to the 5 foot line outside of the building, in accordance with the drawings and specifications; CLIN 0002: Price for the entire Site work complete to the 5 foot line outside of the building, in accordance with the drawings and specifications. CLIN 0003: Price to procure and supervise installation of the Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. Estimated Budget Amount or Price Range: between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Time for Completion: Government desires completion of construction within 425 calendar days of award. Liquidated Damages: $8,423.68 for each calendar day of delay.
