Work on a short-term strategy, (Immediate Needs and Stabilization Projects) is therefore required to address current and more immediate term needs. This work will involve maximizing the use of existing infrastructure and operations. The main focus of this first phase projects is to address deficiencies with current standards and accreditation requirements, and to improve overall patient flow. In addition to and concurrent with the Immediate Needs and Stabilization projects, the following projects are also in design phase for CCMB and SH CP;
- Victoria General Hospital - CCMB Accreditation Standards renovations
- Grace Hospital - CCMB Accreditation Standards renovations
- CancerCare Manitoba Research Institute Rebuild (MacCharles Building - floors 5, 6, and 7)
- NAPRA compliance - pharmacy renovations within CCMB MacCharles Building The Owner and SH CP may choose to integrate these projects into the CM scope of services. This will be confirmed at a later date. The CM will, however need to consider these additional concurrent scopes of work within their planning and ensure that disruptions are minimized. The order of magnitude for construction for this project is approximately $5.5 Million ($5,500,000.00) CAD (CCMB is GST exempt). The construction budget includes the Construction Manager fees for Services and Work. The Owner and SH CP may choose to integrate the previously noted additional projects into the CM scope of services. This will be confirmed at a later date. The approximate total order of magnitude construction value for these scopes of work is $21 Million ($21,000,000.00) CAD.
