As of June 28, 2023, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The pavement needs treatment to extend its service life. Perpetuation project of 11.99 miles of STH 153 between Stainless Avenue (in Stratford) and STH 107 in Marathon County. Improvements include a segment of pavement replacement (Stainless Avenue to concrete); joint, crack, and slab repairs (concrete section); and a mill and overlay (concrete to STH 107). Additional work includes culvert replacements, curb ramp upgrades, spot curb and gutter repairs, guardrail replacement, and possible shoulder widening from 4th Avenue to Karen Lane. Pedestrian accommodation improvements may include: new crosswalk at Legion Street, new sidewalk on north side of STH 153 from Legion Street to Monument Avenue, extending sidewalk on north side of STH 153 from STH 97 to Stainless Avenue, and extending sidewalk on south side of STH 153 from Legion Street to Tradition Street. Anticipated Construction Cost: $5,000,000-$5,999,999 Advertised Fixed Fee %: 7.25 DBE goal on project: No The fixed fee for this contract will apply an indirect cost factor of 150% to the consultants estimated direct labor, regardless of the consultants actual indirect rate. Interviews will not be conducted The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
