As of 8/9/2022, project has been canceled. City of Fontana is accepting Statements of Qualifications from qualified Design-Build Entities to provide Design-Build Services for future city projects. Future Design-Build projects may consist of municipal buildings/structures such as parking structures, fire stations, office buildings, etc. The total estimated construction costs for planned projects is approximately $60 million which estimated costs for individual projects ranging from approximately $11 million, for a 4-tier parking structure project, to $30 million, for a 3 story office building with a first floor parking structure. To be prequalified, DB-Entities must include a prime contractor who possesses a valid California General Building Contractor (B) license, a design member who possesses a valid California Architect's license, and a design member who possesses a valid California Registered Civils or Structural Engineer's license. Upon final selection, a short list from qualified entities will be determined. Each entity would still be required to submit a proposal for each project. The short list will be good for three years with two additional one-year renewals at the sole discretion of the City. The City has the right to add and remove firms from the list during the time frame of the short list. The City has the right at its sole discretion to qualify firms throughout short list period.
