Each proposal must be made on the blank forms provided in the bound copies of "CONTRACT AND SPECIFICATIONS" and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and addressed to Town of Wendell, Planning Director, attention Mr. Bryan Coates, 15 E. Fourth Street, Wendell, NC. The name, address and license number of the bidder must be plainly written on the outside of the envelope, and the envelope marked plainly with the contract name and number. No proposal shall be considered or accepted by the Town Board of Commissioners unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a deposit with the Town of Wendell of a certified check on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, in an amount equal to not less than of the proposal. In lieu of making the deposit as above provided, such bidder may file a bid bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds; conditioned that the surety will upon demand forthwith make payment to the TOWN OF WENDELL upon said bond if the bidder fails to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. This deposit shall be retained if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract within ten days after award or fails to give satisfactory surety as required herein. Academy Street in the Town of Wendell, Wake County, North Carolina. The work shall include, but not be limited to, grading, drainage, curb & gutter (where applicable), storm drainage (where applicable), sidewalk, concrete curb ramps, driveway connections, erosion control, and traffic control. Also, pavement widening, asphalt repair and overlay are to be included along W. Academy Street. All work shall include labor, equipment, materials, and supervision.
