Renovation of a library in Cortez, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
A. Work is limited to the Cortez Public Library (entire building excluding existing standing seam roofed areas) located at the Corner of Montezuma Avenue and Park Street in Cortez, Colorado. B. Non-traffic bearing single-ply sheet membrane system intended for weather exposure as primary roofing including: C. Acceptable membrane thickness shall be 60 mil (+6 -6 mil). Single-ply roofing membrane shall be TPO. D. Removal and Disposal of existing roofing system will be determined at the mandatory pre-bid. E. Installation of additional tapered insulation crickets to enhance drainage is a requirement of this project. Tapered insulation crickets shall also be utilized to provide for positive drainage to roof drains. Ponding water per NRCA published standard will not be acceptable. F. New roof drains and associated piping are NOT required. G. All necessary rough carpentry shall be included in the proposal. H. It will be the Contractors responsibility to obtain a re-roofing permit from the Building Department at the City of Cortez. Complete plans prepared by the Contractor will be required for this permit. Additional Copies may be necessary. The City will provide the permit at no charge. I. The City intends on re-using the existing metal copping caps. Furnish and install new membrane roofing material, and re-roof the Cortez Public Library Building per attached sp0ecifications., Job Location Cortez Library 202 N.
