BIDS ARE INVITED ON A LUMP SUM BASIS FOR THE FOLLOWING CONTRACTS: Contract 1 General Construction Contract 2 Plumbing Construction Contract 3 HVAC Construction Contract 4 Electrical Construction CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 8/9/2022 5:00 PM This project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, approved August 15, 1961, P.L. 987 (Act No. 442), as amended and supplemented, and reference is made to the prevailing minimum wage rates applicable to this project which have been promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry. Bid Bond, Performance Bond, and Labor and Materialman's Bonds are also required. Bidders shall refer to provisions of the Federal and State statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and the preservation of the public natural resources that affect the project; said statement of provisions being submitted, as part of the specifications, pursuant to Section 3301 of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Procurement Code, 62 Pa.C.S. 3301. Bids shall conform to all requirements as more fully set forth in the Bid Documents, including, inter alia, compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or any part thereof or items therein and to waive technicalities as it deems best to protect its interest. General Construction: $440,000 Plumbing Construction (includes Fire Protection): $35,000 Mechanical Construction: $150,000 Electrical Construction: $200,000 Renovations to the existing leased space located at the Laurel Mall for the Hazleton Area Cyber Academy consisting of the renovation of the existing interior and other miscellaneous construction for the identified leased space. This project is broken down into four (4) prime contracts, General Construction, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical Contracts. The base project scope includes selective demolition of the existing interior of the building, new GWB partitions, new flooring (carpet, ceramic tile, VCT) and ACT ceiling tile (existing grid to remain and be reused and modified where required for new layout), two (2) new toilet rooms in designated areas, new power distribution, lighting and accessories, new data and security distribution and accessories, new mechanical distribution to the new building layouts. The existing interior renovations of approximately 8,100 sq. ft. in total.
