The Nassau County Department of Public Works has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional services in connection with the following: "On-Call" Traffic Engineering Services Traffic Engineering Unit The County of Nassau desires to retain a Firm or Firms to provide "On-Call" traffic engineering services to the County's Department of Public Works. These services include, but may not be limited to engineering, design, inspection, data collection, traffic analyses, CAD drafting, surveys, traffic impact analyses, traffic counting, traffic studies, traffic calming studies, transportation planning, providing traffic engineers, ITS Specialists, CAD Operators and technicians, and any other services necessary to address a wide variety of traffic engineering projects and assignments All Vendors doing business with Nassau County, including those responding to this solicitation, must register with the County. The Nassau County Bid Solicitation Boards are open to all registered vendors. Proposals should only be submitted after careful examination of the complete RFP and its requirements. The selected firm(s) will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 aggregate coverage and $1,000,000 per occurrence. The County may increase the coverage amounts for the insurance depending on the project costs (see RFP for details). The successful Proposer will be required to comply with the requirements of Local Law No. 14-2002, "Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts" and Local Law 2-2016, "Participation of Service-Disabled Veterans in County Contracts. All Proposers should review the provisions of Appendix EE (included as an attachment to the RFP) which outlines the requirements of Local Law 14-2002 and Title 82 of the Miscellaneous Laws of Nassau County which contains the requirements of Local Law 2-2016. Technical proposals shall include information regarding the Proposer's plan to comply with Local Law No. 14-2002 and Local Law 2-2016. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
