2022 Flushing and Cleaning of Storm Drains and Catch Basins Bids shall be submitted on the attached "Bid Proposal Form" and shall be signed by an authorized person indicating full knowledge and acceptance of the specifications. All Bidders shall provide the manufacturer and model number of the equipment used and certify that the equipment proposed for use meets the specifications set forth. The Town requests a certificate of insurance stating general liability, automobile liability, excess liability, workmen's compensation and employer's liability limits. The Town of Kennebunk will regard all bids received as an agreement by the Bidder to conform to all items of these specifications. If the FLUSHING & CLEANING OF STORM DRAINS & CATCH BASINS offered differs from the provisions contained in this specification, such differences must be explained in detail and the bid will receive careful consideration if such differences do not depart from the intent of this specification and are to the best interest of the Town. All Bidders shall use a combination unit capable of performing simultaneous vacuum and high volume rodding operations. The rodding tool shall be capable of a minimum delivery of Fifty (50) gallons per minute at 2,000 p.s.i. The work involves rodding and removing materials from storm drains and catch basins. The town shall provide a location for disposal of the material removed from the system. The Highway Department will provide inspection and acceptance services only. The FLUSHING & CLEANING OF STORM DRAINS & CATCH BASINS shall begin within two (2) weeks of award. Should weather or temperatures prevent the machinery to work properly, the work can be suspended to spring of 2023. All work is to be completed by May 1, 2023. All Bidders should quote net prices, therefore, exclusive of all Federal Excise Taxes and Maine State Sales Tax. The Town of Kennebunk will pay the amount due upon delivery acceptance, within thirty (30) days after receipt of an invoice. Contractor shall be paid on a proportion basis for number of basins cleaned. No Bidder may withdraw a bid within thirty (30) days after opening thereof The Town reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any and all bids.
