Renovation of a multi-residential development in Athens, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

The Preliminary budget estimate is 1.1 million to 1.3 million. Proposals submitted by mail should be addressed to the Owner at the address set out and plainly marked as indicated in the "Instructions to Bidders for Contracts", Section 00 1000. Refer to complete Bid Documents for full scope of work required. Bidding Documents, including Plans and Specifications, are on file at the office of the Architect, Warren Epstein & Associates, Architects, Inc., 1785 Cheshire Bridge Road, N.E., Atlanta, Georgia 30324; and the Owner, Athens Housing Authority, 300 S. Rocksprings Street, Athens, Georgia 30606. A Certified Check or Bank Draft drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation, payable to Athens Housing Authority, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety on the Bid Bond form contained in the Project Manual and in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the Contract Amount. Bids shall not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. The General Contractors submitting bids or being considered for this work shall be licensed to perform such work by the State in which the work is located and shall submit evidence of such license before his bid may be opened or considered. All contractors shall be required to comply with the equal employment and Section 3 requirements of the Federal Government. Attention is called to the fact that salaries not less than the Davis-Bacon wage rates as published by the U.S. Department of Labor and as set forth in the specifications must be paid on this Project. Please address all questions regarding the Drawings and Specifications or bidding procedures to the Architect and not the Athens Housing Authority. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
