The Town of Chapel Hill is seeking consulting services for the development of a plan for local street connections and development of street connectivity policies. The goal is to implement a consistent approach to local street connections that implements planning best practices of connecting communities and dispersing traffic. The planning and policy work should also account for road safety; pedestrian and bicycle safety, accessibility, and convenience; and mitigating strategies to reduce resident concerns about increased local traffic. At the conclusion of the planning process, it would be the Town's intent to present the plan and any suggested policy to Town Council for adoption and apply the standards to the upcoming Unified Development Ordinance rewrite. All responses to submitted questions will be published in the form of an addendum on the Town's website at www.townofchapelhill.org on August 10, 2022, by 5:00 pm. The Town of Chapel Hill reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason or no reason and to accept the bid most favorable to the Town of Chapel Hill.
